Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using highroadstraveler.com or booking any tour with Highroads Traveler. By accessing our website or purchasing a tour, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Highroads Traveler
Highroads Traveler is a boutique travel company offering small-group hosted tours to international destinations. We act as a tour host and organizer, coordinating accommodations, transportation, and experiences on your behalf.
2. Tour Bookings
By completing a booking through our website or directly with our team, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years of age, or are booking on behalf of a party that includes adults who accept these terms

You have read and understood the specific details, dates, and inclusions for your selected tour
Highroads Traveler reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at its discretion.
3. Payments & Deposits
Specific payment terms, deposit amounts, and payment schedules are provided at the time of booking confirmation. Full payment details will be outlined in your booking agreement. By submitting a deposit, you agree to the payment schedule set forth in that agreement.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation terms vary by tour and booking date. Your specific cancellation policy will be provided in writing at the time of booking. In general:

Cancellations made well in advance of the departure date may be eligible for a partial refund of your deposit, minus any non-recoverable costs already paid to vendors

Cancellations made close to the departure date may not be eligible for a refund

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment
Highroads Traveler is not responsible for losses due to cancellations caused by circumstances outside our control, including but not limited to weather events, government travel restrictions, airline cancellations, or personal emergencies.
5. Travel Documents & Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure that you hold a valid passport and any required visas for all countries on your itinerary. Highroads Traveler is not responsible for any costs or losses resulting from a traveler's failure to obtain required documentation.

Travel requirements, entry restrictions, and health/vaccination requirements vary by destination and can change at any time. Please check with the relevant embassy or government authority before travel.
6. Health & Physical Requirements
Some tours involve moderate physical activity, including walking on uneven terrain, stairs, and varying weather conditions. By booking a tour, you confirm that you are in sufficient health to participate in the planned activities. If you have any health concerns or mobility limitations, please contact us before booking so we can advise on suitability.
7. Travel Insurance
Highroads Traveler strongly recommends that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation. We are not responsible for costs incurred due to illness, injury, or trip interruption.
8. Liability Limitations
Highroads Traveler acts as an organizer and is not the direct provider of transportation, accommodation, or other third-party services. While we carefully vet all vendors and partners, we cannot be held liable for:

9. Itinerary Changes
Highroads Traveler reserves the right to modify tour itineraries when necessary due to weather, local conditions, political circumstances, or other factors outside our control. We will make every effort to provide comparable alternatives and will notify travelers as promptly as possible.
10. Photography & Media
Photos and videos taken by or on behalf of Highroads Traveler during tours may be used for marketing purposes, including on our website and social media. If you prefer not to be featured in any published media, please notify us in writing before or at the start of your tour.
11. Website Use
All content on highroadstraveler.com — including text, images, and tour descriptions — is the property of Highroads Traveler and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes arising from your use of our website or participation in a tour shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pennsylvania.
